We all love that Checkers has the app and PicknPay has the app.
But sadly, sometimes we need things from specific shops or multiple shops, like perhaps food lovers, dischem, clicks, spar and such.

In the midst of the pandemic, its not ideal for those who are at risk to go out to the shops, so we would like to offer the services of the Errand Runners in the Pretoria East area.
We can do specific shopping for you, collect prescriptions and drop them off, take pets to the vets, and just about any other errand you can think of.

For those of you who don't know - the Errand Runners is owned and run by a husband and wife team, Jonathan and Amelia.

Errand Runners is only 1 of our many "side hustles" that we are thoroughly passionate about, but doesn't really have enough clientele on a regular basis to help us keep food on the table, a roof over our heads, and help support our aging (they're almost all retired) parents.

Our regular day job closed its doors indefinitely during the pandemic and the owners are unsure if they will ever actually reopen.

So we decided to be proactive and created a business plan that can work hand in hand with all of our "side hustles" and bring more benefits to those who visit or live in Durban, but things as they are mean we just don't have the capital to start our new business venture.

We're not going to beg for help, we want to give back to anyone who is willing to help whatsoever, be that a free Quad Safari once we finally open, or a Free Romantic Events' Picnic or a Photo Shoot, or something else.
What we are asking for is any help, no matter how big or small, that will be so greatly appreciated.

If you're asking yourself "What do the errand runners do?" Or "Why should I hire this company?", Here's a bit of an idea:

* Personal Shopping - so you're at work and get a call that your mom in law is giving you a "surprise" visit tomorrow and you just don't have time to get stocked up for visitors. You call us and we'll run around and do all the shopping for you so you can have a stress-free family weekend.

* Guest Room Services - so you're an airbnb host, or just have family coming to visit and you're too busy to prepare the spare room/granny flat for the guests. Give us a call and we'll come in and clean, tidy, and prepare the room for your guests.

* Minimalist House Sitter - Going away for a few days and need someone to pop in and water the plants and turn the lights on in the evening? We'll do that too.

These are just a small sample of what we offer. Contact us for more info, we'll basically be you're personal assistant/girl friday on a temp/contract basis.

Whew, the months are just going by so fast! And its really hard to keep up with work, spending time with the family, and still doing those annoying tasks like grocery shopping and errands to the post office and municipal offices.

I currently offer the following packages for Grocery shopping and Errand Running:

1) The Deluxe package: Buying your choice of brands or your choice of shops (for those who are loyal to woolworths, picknpay, spar or certain brands).
This is a R210 fee per outing* as we will go to your specific choice of shop or hunt to find the brand you desire.

2) The Shoestring Budget: I will still get you good quality groceries on the tightest budget possible. This sometimes means buying multiple client’s shopping on the same receipt in order to enjoy the benefits of bulk discounts. Other times it will mean finding marked down items (just before their expiry date) or hunting around various shops to find the best price on regular items). You will also be put onto a whatsapp broadcast list (not a group, so you wont get other customer’s messages) for updates when I’m going to be doing shopping or deliveries in your area.
R120 per outing*.

3) The Errand Runner: I am happy to run errands for you, from filling your script at the chemist to collecting the dogs from the grooming salon, picking up the dry cleaning or an item from the hardware store to dropping off that package that you promised your boss. Basically, any little errands that you just don’t feel like doing, or cant do. The errand runner package is priced according to the job asked, when you need it done and the distance required, however the basic fee starts at R2/km.

* The pricing is based on time spent in the shop as well as distance. Provided the traveling between your delivery address and the shops is no more than 12km. Should the distance be further, the price is subject to change.
