Sadly Don Turner's demise on 25April 2022 has put s hiccup on the way forward on our Zambia projects. His memorial service in Durban demonstrated how much he was loved but we will push forward in his dreams in his memory.

Overseas investment is now more probable than local investment due to the effects of Covid on an already impoverished country and this is opening up possibilities for DCA to start moving forward again.

After 18 years we finally have an agreement in place to continue with this project. Covid and Corruption delayed the later payments and professional team members have been disabled, died or lost interest. Until the outstanding payment is actually made though it’s unlikely that interest will be stimulated again. Hopefully the community who were supposed to receive their homes will vote strategically in the elections later this year to put the right people in place to be able to get their homes.

Now that the long awaited first payment has been received for the Acton Homes Project we hope to see progress on the Infrastructure needed. The land was officially transferred to the Local Municipality in November 2019 so all systems are GO.

DCA Development Projects was formed to assist With Housing and Farming for rural communities who were displaced from farms. Villages of from 200 to 1000 houses with relating infrastructure have been commissioned and the supply of Bulk Infrastructure Including water, sanitation, Access Roads with Bus Routes and Electricity is also provided. Additional facilities such as orphanages, community centers, schools and clinics are also provided. Recently the company has expanded to also provide commercial facilities and hospitals. The agricultural component includes Organic farming, hydroponic systems and aquaculture.
