Considered Creative Consultancy Considered Creative Consultancy: workshops and courses on Considered Leadership and Considered Creativity. www.consideredcreative.co.za

Considered Creative Consultancy partnered with Bonnie Kaplan in developing a unique reflective methodology called 'within-between-beyond'. “Within-between-beyond” forms the core of the Considered Leadership workshops and courses, adapted from academic theories and translated into a simple guide for professional practitioners to apply in their daily professional environments. Considered Leadership

is very simple yet profound. It can be described as work in progress where practitioners systematically through a defined methodology examine their leadership practice in order to improve it. The methodology works on the assumption that leadership skills come from current and past experiences, which are grounded in values, beliefs and talents.

1) 'Considered' is about (re-)considering things (reflection, decision making and critical and creative thinking)
2) 'Considered Leadership' as a combined term has a twofold meaning:
A) to (re-)consider the notion of leadership (reflecting on being a leader of the self and leader of others; leader as a term is loaded with a range of meanings and context that should be reflected on), and
B) 'Considered Leadership' is to become a reflective and respected leader, someone that (re-)considers things carefully through reflective practice / action-reflection methodologies. Considered Leadership is offered as short workshops and as longer courses for comprehensive development.

We want to thank all our clients of 2014 for a wonderful year of significant learning experiences. Your involvement helped us to refine our 'within-between-beyond' methodology of deconstructing, decomposing and distilling concerns into solutions.

Our aim for 2015: To publish our first book!

Have a wonderful, festive and safe end of year!

We recently did two workshops for a global company. We played with colour as a means of thinking in a different ways, while building a tree as the metaphor for the company and their concerns. The solutions were created in layers, using different thinking and reflective methodologies. The results were amazing, while having great fun!

We recently did a fun workshop for Montessori Life, a wonderful pre-school based in Umhlanga. We used the metaphor of a tree to represent the individuals as well as the school as an entity. To do this, each person had to consider what the tree is made up of.

They created their trees, and while doing it we had conversations asking reflective questions to unpack the parts of the tree.

A really meaningful metaphor that worked well, especially for educators as caregivers with a high level of responsibility!

Well done to the Montessori Life team in producing your tree. Happy 10th year celebrations in 2015.
