GARDIER ALERT 🔥🔥 SUSPECT ARRESTED

Location: 48 Oxford Street, Durbanville

Officer James from Gardier spotted a suspect opening the canvas on the back of a Corsa bakkie, registration CF 268-52, parked at 48 Oxford Street.

Officer James confronted the suspect, who then fled on foot. CCTV footage is available.

Officer James, together with an officer Dave and ADT response unit apprehended the suspect on the corner of King and Park Street.

The suspect had nothing in his possession at the time of arrest, as he had thrown the items under a bush while running away. The items were later found.

Gardier Control contacted SAPS, who arrived approximately. The suspect was arrested and taken to Durbanville Police Station.

*GARDIER ALERT 🔥🔥 SUSPECT ARRESTED*

*Camera Trigger*

Control Room Operator Dalien Bosman spotted a suspicious person on the neighbourhood camera triggers on the corner of Plataan and Iris Street.

Controller Bosman immediately alerted Officer Vusi and Officer Daly to investigate.

The suspect was spotted on the corner of Protea and Murray Street. During questioning it was found that the suspect was in possession of a phone, binoculars and Ray-Ban sunglasses that did not belong to him.

The suspect broke into a vehicle and removed the goods from the vehicle.

The suspect is a known offender and has been arrested multiple times before for housebreaking and theft.

SAPS was contacted and arrived at 06:30. We spoke to Sgt Heyns who knows the suspect well. The suspect was taken to Durbanville Police Station and the stolen goods were booked in by SAPS, and later identified by a resident in the area as their property.

During a patrol in the Eversdal area, Armed Response Officer Brain Muller was contacted by a client in Sundale Road who reported hearing someone in his yard.

Officer Muller responded immediately.

Upon arrival, it was found that an intruder had climbed over the fence and opened the client's garage door.

The suspect was caught inside the client's garage, apprehended on the premises and arrested.

SAPS will be contacted and a case will be opened.

Well done to Officer Brain Muller for the quick response.

On 9 October 2026 a burglary was reported at 22B Denne Street, a non Gardier client Vierlanden.

Armed Response Officers Mark Taylor and Simpiwe responded immediately. They obtained information from the neighbour at number 23 regarding the direction in which the suspects fled.

Officers searched the area and received further information from a vagrant, which led them towards town.

Both suspects were subsequently apprehended - one at Checkers and one at Woolworths - in possession of stolen goods including TVs, drones, iPads and other items.

We would like to commend Officers Mark Taylor and Simpiwe for their excellent work and quick response which led to the arrest.

Gardier Security Services based in Durbanville is looking for an experienced, reliable, and well-presented Alarm Technician/ installer. The person must adhere to the following requirements:
• Must be PSIRA Registered.
• Knowledgeable in alarms systems such as TEXECOM, PARADOX, IDS, DSC etc.
• Experience in fault finding, installation, repair, programming and maintenance on alarm systems.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license with contactable references.
• Ability to do standby on a rotational basis.
• Good communication and management skills.
• Clean and sober habits.

Desired Experience & Qualification
• Matric or certificate equivalent to Grade 12.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a CCTV and Alarm Technician

🔥 GARDIER ALERT 🔥 *22 August 2026 | Eversdal*

Good Day,

This morning, a resident of Eversdal reported a suspicious vehicle driving in the area.

Armed Response Officers Muller and Williams patrolled the area searching for the vehicle. Officer Brian Muller located the vehicle in Somer Street, where he stopped it and called for backup.

Upon checking, the vehicle was linked to two criminal cases of theft in the greater Sondal area. It was found to have false number plates and an expired license disc.

SAPS and Law Enforcement were contacted, and the suspect was taken into custody by SAPS and the vehicle was impounded

We would like to commend the Gardier officers involved for their excellent work, and our Senior Dave Glover for coordinating with the local authorities.

On 27 November 2025 at approximately 13H00, Gardier Response Team Leader Dave Glover was busy putting up Gardier boards at a residence in Pennylane Nerina, when he was approached by a member of the public, Dr Bosch, who reported that his electric bicycle had been stolen from his offices on Biccard Street. Following this report, Officer Glover proceeded to patrol Columbine Road and Park Road.

During patrol, Officer Glover identified and apprehended a well‑known suspect riding an electric bicycle in Park Road. Dr Bosch was contacted and arrived on scene to positively identify the bicycle as his stolen property.

The suspect was detained by officer Glover, and arrested on a charge of theft by Durbanville SAPS upon their arrival.

Well done Dave! Another instance of Gardier personnel going the extra mile and again showing Gardiers' worth to the community.
