IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO CHANGE YOUR HEALTH, FINANCES OR SALES SKILLS.

12 months ago, I set out on one of the toughest journeys of my life: how to drop 50 kg while owning multiple companies, coaching thousands of sales consultants and entrepreneurs, while traveling 150 days a year, and keeping my sanity.
Looking back at the person I have become versus the person I was.

I can honestly say that you never underestimate what can happen when you focus on achieving small goals, sacrifice what you want right now for what you want in the future, and ask for advice from really good coaches. Anything is possible if you go for it.

ARE YOU LEAVING MONEY ON THE TABLE?

Unfortunately, most salespeople are extremely unenthusiastic about confronting or addressing objections during negotiations, and you might be one of them. When dealing with your clients, you may not realize that your thought process has been sanitized by corporate thinking. This mentality is often coached and then tells you never to upset your clients and never to push them to make a decision.

But this is one of the key aspects of becoming a great salesperson: learning when to push and when to pull back. Now, yes, I fully understand that we all get it wrong sometimes, and that is fine. Failing is one of the greatest things about sales: it is an opportunity to engage and fine-tune the ever-learning curve you are trying to master.

Your clients are always changing, objections are always evolving, and if your skills are not honed daily to keep up with this evolving market, then unfortunately, when you go into negotiation scenarios, you are definitely going to pull back all the push at the wrong time and shut your client down. This leaves a lot of money on the table, but most often, a lot of deals on the floor for your competitors to step in and take. Sales training, or sales skill development, has never been about selling more to your clients. Sales Skill Development is designed to help you fail less in negotiations.

All of us who call the sales profession our bread and butter will go through periods when we see a lot of clients but just aren't landing the deals. The question you have to ask yourself when this is happening is: Are you learning from these failures? What are you doing wrong? Are you just focusing on your feeling of defeat or the techniques you have been taught?

Remember, Rockstars, when the pressure is on, go back to basics. Attitude, Effort, and a Sh*tload of Closing Skills.

People often ask me how to achieve rapid success. My answer is straightforward: surround yourself with the right people, be prepared to sacrifice and put in long hours, and continuously develop your sales and closing skills.

This week, I had the incredible opportunity to be a guest speaker at two major events.
