AERSA WAREHOUSE & OFFICES
Stikland, Bellville

We are super proud of the new addition we've made to the Stikland Industria landscape.

Located on a highly visible corner, the building was intentionally designed to be a local landmark — a structure that not only houses industry, but also shapes the character of the area.

Our design strategies included:

Celebrating industrial materials and building form: Exposing and reimagining steel cladding, facebrick and Wintec concrete elements in a traditional saw-tooth factory typology.

Playing with texture and rhythm: Using contrasts in surface and form to add depth and interest.

Balancing utility with aesthetics: Ensuring the building is functional for its users while presenting a modern, eye-catching façade to the public.

The outcome is a building that communicates strength, innovation, and a sense of place within Stikland Industria.

We are also grateful to our client that trusted our design vision from the start and allowed us to produce something exceptional for them.

NOORKAPPER CLOSE, PEARLY BEACH

We are looking forward to start construction on this bespoke luxury beach home in Pearly Beach. Perched right on the beachfront with spectacular views towards the Atlantic, it will be the perfect spot to watch the southern right whales from the hot tub on the deck!

ON THE DRAWING BOARD...

This is just a sneak peak to show you what we've been working on lately. This concept is for a luxury AirBnb proposal for a farm just outside Durbanville. It will consist of around 10 off-shutter concrete pods along with an entertainment venue and eco pool.

Good progress on site. Floors are cast, cladding is being installed, Winblocks are going in. Looking forward to see the final details of the building envelope.

Work on the new home for Apollo Air & Aersa on the corner of Cilmor & Bell Street in Stikland is taking shape nicely. A big shout out to the team of Framecore for their great effort. We are looking forward to completing this exciting project early 2025!

No one likes a cramped dark kitchen, especially when it is also separated from the rest of the family spaces. So with just a few simple changes we were able to completely open up the old kitchen and scullery and make it the focal point of the downstairs living areas. The kitchen even includes a wine bar.

Thank you The Modernist Collection for your great posts!!! One of our favourite chapels from the mid-century modern area.

The Air Force Academy Chapel, completed in 1962, was designed by Walter Netsch of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. Originally controversial in its design, the multi-faith chapel in Colorado Springs has become a highly regarded example of modernist architecture and was named a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 2004. LANGA BAPTIST CHURCH

The day has finally arrived!!! The church had their final service in the old building this past Sunday. They have since packed and cleared the building. Dismantling of the temporary structure has commenced. Next up…demolition!!! 😄💪🏻😎🚧
