Collecting cans is one of the easiest ways to start recycling, but did you know that Steel and Aluminium cans MUST be separated?

Here’s a quick hack: Use a magnet!
• If the magnet sticks, it’s a Steel can!
• If the magnet does not stick, it’s an Aluminium can!

Cans that CAN be recycled:

✔️ Food & soup cans
✔️ Aerosol cans

DNF Recycling Guide: Know Your Plastic Codes! 🥤🧴
Did you know that not all plastics are created equal? Every plastic item is represented by a special recycling code inside a small triangle (numbers 1 through 5). Sorting your plastics correctly helps ensure they get recycled efficiently!

Here is your quick guide to plastic numbers:

• 1 (PET): Soft drink, juice & water bottles
• 2 (HDPE): Milk bottles, shampoo & detergent containers
• 4 (LDPE): Bread bags & squeezable sauce bottles
• 5 (PP): Ice cream tubs & lunch boxes

Remember: All materials must be separated into clear bags before dropping them off!

Valid Code 14 Driver's Licence with PDP
Minimum 5 years' crane truck driving experience
Must be able to reverse with a trailer (practical test will be conducted)
Able to follow instructions and adhere to route schedules
Proficiency in isiXhosa will be an advantage
