It is a criminal offence to avoid or ignore the summons served against you. If you do not reply to the summons within 10 days, the Plaintiff's lawyers have probably submitted a request for a default judgement. It can take up to 3 months, so don't think the matter has just disappeared.

It is a criminal offence:
- to make any false statement for the purposes of the Act;8
- to imitate, forge, alter or damage any ID card;9
- to allow that to be done;10
- to maintain that incorrect information on an ID card is correct;11
- to possess any ID card which has been forged, or altered, in any way, or on which information is incorrect.12

DDA is looking for someone who can assist on a regular basis with vehicle info... We will supply the ID number/registration and we will need to know what vehicles are licensed to that ID. We assist in tracing this type of information for attorneys, late estates, etc... Our informant has since retired and we are trying to locate another... Please this will be regarded as highly confidential information...

An update on this story....
The lady was found & it turns out that it was mistaken identity... Someone in the same type of vehicle nearly rode her over so she went looking for the vehicle... Found the one that she thought was the offending one & did her thing... She was very apologetic when the 85yr old owner of the car that was branded confronted her...
Moral of this story: Be sure of your facts before taking action... It can turn out to be embarrassing...
