Doornkraal Wines

Doornkraal Wines Doornkraal Wines are produced from grapes grown on high density staked vines which are still cultivated by horse on communal land in Ebenhaeser.

The farm Doornkraal, where the Olifant’s River meets the sea, has been home to Captain Louis and his follower’s descendants for two centuries. Agricultural plots around the missionary station town of Ebenaeser were initially farmed on small scale. Today farmers still cultivate the communal land by horse and now farm high density staked vines in this cool climate. Henzil and Niklaas see themselves

as stewards of Doornkraal. They produced this wine with the help of local experts and offer it to you with humility and gratitude.
