Meet Dimakatso Makgato and Fiki Fesi, finalists in the Township Investment category.

Dimakatso is someone who believes in leaving the beaten track and exploring new possibilities, a mindset she has carried into her property journey in Soweto.

Fiki’s journey is one of sheer persistence. A single mother, caregiver and advocate for affordable rental housing, she took on a challenging property project, adapted when circumstances changed and kept going.

Cape Town’s Amanda Stone has an eye for possibility. With a background in interiors and renovation, she took everything she had learned and stepped into property investment professionally, proving that creativity and property can be a pretty powerful combination.

In Pietermaritzburg, Sphelele Zuma describes himself beautifully as “security by work and investor by passion.” A new dad with his sights firmly on the future, his reason for investing is deeply personal: to build something that can one day be passed on to his son.
