Lothian of Elgin & Wines of Elgin at Bellevue Café - An Evening of Cool-Climate Wine
Following the success of last year's event, Wines of Elgin returns to Bellevue Café in Ballito for another evening celebrating the exceptional wines of South Africa's premier cool-climate wine region.
Join us for a relaxed walk-around tasting, where you'll have the opportunity to meet the winemakers, discover the stories behind the wines, and explore why Elgin has become synonymous with world-class Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and other cool-climate varieties.
Throughout the evening, Bellevue Café will serve a selection of canapés and pizza slices, creating a relaxed and social atmosphere where guests are encouraged to taste, ask questions and discover new favourites.

Unlimited tastings from participating Wines of Elgin producers
The opportunity to meet and engage with the winemakers
A selection of Bellevue Café canapés and Pizza

Decanter Platinum with 97 points. A moment worth raising a glass to.

We are delighted to share that our 2023 Lothian of Elgin Chardonnay has been awarded 97 points at the Decanter World Wine Awards.

Crafted in the cool-climate Elgin Valley, this wine reflects the purity of our vineyards, thoughtful winemaking, and the unique character of the place we call home.

To receive this recognition from one of the world's most respected wine competitions is an honour, and we are grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey.

Here's to celebrating exceptional Chardonnay and the remarkable terroir of Elgin.

Who needs a landscaping crew when you’ve got the neigh-turally talented Grazing Gang?
These four-legged freeloaders are our vineyard mowers, paid exclusively in snacks and the occasional scratch behind the ear.
They say they’re “just here for the mulotage”... but we’ve caught them eyeing the Pinot.

Sometimes in life you get to try something that truly exceeds your expectations, I personally have never been a Pinot Noir lover, but this is spectacular, it’s as good as any Burgundy I have tried. It’s available by the glass at the LA, if you would like a taste pop in and try it, I am sure you will love it. It goes really well with our Posh Chicken and Chips.
