If the reason to have (Burial services) and (Financial services) is to divide the two then the approach is rather not beneficial for the company, i mean the business concept of a funeral parlor is burials at the end of the day.
This means drawing a line between the two makes it looks like sales is not part of the burial services but burials are coming from sales.
Recommendation: Never devide the 2 but rather have Marketing departmen stronger (the brain of the company) they should focus how to win the market share by using various tools and strategies, thus that makes it easy for sales to get numbers.
Sales and burial team (operational team) should hold each other accountable in terms of 1. Delivering poor service that doesn't meet the expectations of the customer, because it takes sales back.
2. Accountability on selling products in a wrong way (arranging a funeral for such a customer that was over sold a product) is hard for the funeral consultant team.
