Now in its 31st year, the Michelangelo International W**e & Spirits Awards represents the largest w**e and spirits competition in Africa. It stands out for an incredibly rigorous judging process, featuring hand-selected w**e experts from five continents. We are immensely proud to announce our results from this year's competition:

There’s some incredible new life on the estate!

We are ecstatic to welcome two very special new additions to the Zoetendal family: two beautiful quaggas.
When we say , we don't just mean for our vines and our cellar. We show up for the land through our commitment to the Nuwejaars Wetlands Conservation. As part of The Quagga Project (www.quaggaproject.org) and the Nuwejaars Nature Conservation Breeding program, these two magnificent animals have officially found their new home and will remain right here on our farm.

Farming with minimal intervention and protecting this fragile ecosystem's wild game matters just as much to us as what ends up in the bottle.

There’s a new face on the farm!
Meet Orion, the latest addition to the Zoetendal family.

​Turning three years old in just a week or two, this impressive young bull comes with remarkable pedigree. He is the son of Oerlikon (sired by 52-inch Cumulus and 52-inch Aura, bringing together top BA1 and BA2 bloodlines) and our super cow, Merlot.

​The inspector commended him as a well-balanced bull with great conformation and a calm, steady temperament. Fully vaccinated for FMD and ready to settle into estate life, he is set to bring superior crossing to our herds.
