Background of Co-operative
The purpose of this part, social co-operative means a co operative whose main objective is to provide social services to its members. Whereas the republic of SA acknowledge the need for the registration of co-operatives, in accordance with the constitution, international convections and treaties; and national, provincial and local government tr

ansversal policy and statutory-regulatory framework, as well as the need for development of a viable, autonomous, self-reliant and self sustaining co-operative movement to promote community development and entrepreneurship, create employment and successful enterprises, eradicate poverty and improve the socio-economic well-being of the members of co-operative in accordance with the co-operative principles substitution of preamble to act of 2005. Our much concerned for youth in co-operative is that they don’t full participate in this kind business not just because they don’t want to be part of co-operative or be active in the business like this, what have we see also realized is that they lack information it playing the measure role as we are youth in co-operative we wish to have our own information session that will be facilitation in statutory compliance of co-operative. Promotion of business independence to stimulate competitiveness and co-operative governance.15 youth representatives from different co-operatives have met and shared different information about business opportunities that will sustain their knowledge in the business world .Our advantage is that we have basic understand of co-operative also we will get some guidance in other organization.

The Wholesale and Retail SETA has raised concern about the number of companies not participating in its grant funding system, despite the sector being the second-largest employer in South Africa and contributing to the national Skills Development Levy.

The W&RSETA will host a Mandatory Grant Information Session for levy-paying companies to guide them on accessing these opportunities and submitting their Workplace Skills Plans to the Wholesale and Retail SETA via the online system before 30 April 2026.
