🚨 EMP501 SUBMISSION SEASON IS HERE 🚨

The SARS Employer Annual Reconciliation Declaration period is officially open from 1 April 2026 to 31 May 2026.

Employers are encouraged to start preparing early to avoid unnecessary delays, rejected submissions, and compliance risks.

✅ Verify employee information
✅ Ensure valid Income Tax Reference Numbers are captured
✅ Reconcile payroll figures accurately
✅ Submit EMP501 and IRP5/IT3(a) certificates on time

📢 BCEA Earnings Threshold Increase – Effective 1 May 2026

The earnings threshold under the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) has officially increased to R269,600.90 per annum.

🔍 What does this mean for employers and employees?
Employees earning above this threshold will no longer be covered by certain BCEA provisions, including: • Overtime
• Ordinary hours of work
• Meal intervals
• Rest periods
• Sunday & public holiday pay
• Night work

The Compensation Fund has officially opened the Return of Earnings (ROE) submission period for the 2025 season (March 2025 – February 2026).

1 April 2026 – 30 June 2026
