Who invited the hound 🐕 ?

And why is there a pianist playing to a girl who appears to be dancing with butterflies?

In “Let’s Have a Kiki”, the rules are gloriously unclear. Characters arrive from different stories, collide for a brief moment, and create a world that feels both familiar and dreamlike.

A little theatre. A little mischief. A little magic.

The best parties are often the ones that make the least sense.

Seaside Memories & The Eternal "NOW" 🌊🕊️⏱️

We are thrilled to unveil the second major installation welcoming guests at the brand new Tortellino d’Oro at Sandton Gate Central

Spanning an impressive 3 x 3.6 meters across four individual panels, this captivating piece invites you into a world of childhood nostalgia by the seaside.

Abé has woven rich, symbolic icons throughout the coast, look closely and you will spot a surreal blend of a fish and a dove, a playful crab, and a soaring, winged figure glancing at a watch that simply reads "NOW."

These symbols beautifully mirror the philosophy behind the restaurant’s menu: a deep respect for authentic, deep-rooted culture and family memories, reimagined with a fun, modern twist that grounds us completely in the present moment.

We invite you to step into the space, admire the intricate details of this beautiful story, and enjoy a meal crafted from the heart.

Honoring: Generations, Art, and Tradition 🎨✨

We are incredibly proud to share a closer look at the monumental 2.3 x 3 meter bespoke artwork created for the beautiful new Tortellino d’Oro at Sandton Gate Central.

This deeply personal piece captures the rich history of the Bollini family, visually weaving together the transition of generations and the sacred culinary recipes passed down through time. It is a story of continuous evolution and modern development, yet one that beautifully preserves the authentic spirit and heart at its core.

Next time you join us for an authentic Italian dining experience, take a moment to sit by this powerful visual legacy and feel the family history that flavors every dish. 🍝❤️

A Monumental Installation at Sandton Gate

Seven days of hard work, joy, excitement, and exhilaration culminated in the meticulous preparation, installation, and final hanging of these monumental works.

Working within the extraordinary new dream home and restaurant, the highly anticipated second location of the legendary Tortellino d’Oro at Sandton Gate Central, proved to be deeply inspiring for us.

Beautifully designed for the owner Cat and Lolo by Barry and Brian of BRIAN LEIB Interiors, the space welcomed the crew with immense warmth, generosity, and a true sense of inclusion from the moment they arrived with a huge truck and giant crates filled with massive artworks imagined and created by .bollini, Cat, and Abé.

This beautiful new venue stands as a vibrant haven of authentic Italian home-cooked food, created with love, family tradition, and heart.

We’re profoundly honored and grateful to be part of this exciting new chapter being written by Cat and Lolo, describing the entire collaboration as an absolute joy and privilege.

On the left, a quiet moment of pride, a herder standing beside his Ankole, grounded, watchful, timeless.

On the right, three African patterned works, rhythmic and bold, echoing heritage through geometry, repetition, and symbol.

Together, they speak to one another, one tells the story of the land and its people, the other carries the language of tradition, pattern, and memory.

Captured in a moment of weightless reflection, these silhouettes drift between the whispers of leaves and the open blue. A dual exploration of freedom and stillness.
