🌸 Spring has arrived in Franschhoek

There's a moment every year we look forward to on the farm, when the first blossoms open along the vines and the whole valley seems to wake up at once. It's still early days, but you can already feel the shift: longer light, warmer soil, and the promise of the season ahead.

This is one of our favorite times to walk the vineyard, watching the buds swell and knowing the year's story is just beginning.

👋Say hello to Niclas
Meet our new Junior Viticulturist. Freshly graduated from Elsenburg with a cellar technology diploma in hand, Niclas grew up among the vineyards of Paarl, where family life revolved around winemaking and farm life. Those early mornings among the vines shaped his hands-on approach and deep respect for the land.

An outdoors person at heart, he’s happiest beneath the open sky, learning about soil, vine and season. Friendly, curious and fiercely motivated, Niclas is ready to roll up his sleeves and learn viticulture from the ground up. He's bringing fresh energy and a love for craft to our team.

Big news from Lyon! 🥂 We’ve struck Gold!

Our Topiary Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 just took home a Gold Medal at the prestigious Concours International de Lyon 2026 in France !🏅

This international recognition means the world to us. It’s a celebration of our unique South African terroir and the French winemaking heritage that defines everything we do at Topiary.
