Your life won’t change until you’re willing to change something. 🔥

Sometimes we keep waiting for better opportunities, better circumstances, or the “right” time. But real growth starts when you change your thinking, your habits, and your daily actions. 🧠💪

You don’t have to change everything overnight. Start with one small decision today. Read one more page. Learn one new skill. Wake up with purpose. Take one step toward the future you want.

Change can feel uncomfortable, but staying exactly where you are can cost you even more. Choose growth. Choose discipline. Choose a better future. 🇺🇸✨

Finding the right problem to solve has been central to Michael Dell’s journey, from starting Dell as a college dorm-room venture to repeatedly reinventing the company as technology evolved.

That mindset is proving relevant again as Dell Technologies rides the latest AI wave. The company recently reported record quarterly revenue of $47 billion, while AI-optimised server orders reached $60.9 billion, prompting Dell to raise its full-year revenue outlook to $192 billion.

The biggest opportunities often begin with a problem worth pursuing. Dell’s journey is a reminder to find yours, understand it deeply and build with purpose.

🕶️ At the age of 7, his mother sent him to an orphanage because she could not afford to feed all her children. Decades later, he built a company whose glasses would be worn by millions around the world.

His name was Leonardo Del Vecchio.

He was born in Milan in 1935.

He never really knew his father, who died only a few months before Leonardo was born.

His mother was left alone with four children and almost no money.

So when Leonardo was 7, she made a heartbreaking decision.

She sent him to Martinitt, one of Milan’s oldest orphanages.

🏠 He spent several years there.

Later in life, Del Vecchio said that growing up without a family leaves a mark that is hard to explain unless you have lived through it yourself.

At 14, he left the orphanage and went to work.

Not in fashion.

Not in a major corporation.

But as an apprentice in a factory that engraved metal parts, trophies, and medals.

And that is where he discovered something that changed his life.

👓 He saw how eyeglass frames were made.

Metal.

Precision.

Shape.

Tiny measurements where every millimeter mattered.

Leonardo became fascinated by the craft.

He worked during the day.

And at night, he studied design and engraving at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.

Step by step, he learned not only how to make parts —

but how to think like a manufacturer.

Eventually, he opened a small workshop of his own.

At first, he produced components for other eyewear companies.

But that was not enough for him.

In 1961, Leonardo moved to Agordo, a small town in northern Italy.

The local government was trying to attract new businesses and offered land to entrepreneurs willing to create jobs there.

That is where Luxottica began.

At first, the company manufactured metal parts for other brands.

Then Del Vecchio made a decision that would change everything:

Why keep making components for someone else when you can build the entire product yourself?

👓 Luxottica began producing complete eyeglass frames.

Then came expansion.

New markets.

Retail.

Acquisitions.

And over time, the small company in a mountain town became one of the most powerful names in the global eyewear industry.

Its portfolio eventually included brands such as:

🕶️ Ray-Ban

🕶️ Oakley

and the retail chain Sunglass Hut.

In 2018, Luxottica merged with French lens giant Essilor.

Together they formed EssilorLuxottica, one of the largest optical companies in the world.

And all of this was built by a man whose childhood began with poverty, loss, and an orphanage.

❤️ There is something deeply symbolic about that.

A boy who grew up with very little eventually built an empire around something that helps people see more clearly.

Del Vecchio died in 2022 at the age of 87.

By then, he was one of the richest people in Italy, with a fortune worth tens of billions of dollars.

But perhaps the most interesting part of his story is not the money.

It is the beginning.

The orphanage.

The factory.

The night classes.

The tiny workshop.

The metal parts.

The precision.

The discipline.

And the refusal to stop moving forward.

We usually see only the ending.

The brands.

The billions.

The global company.

What we rarely see is the 14-year-old boy leaving an orphanage and going straight to work with his hands.

🖤 Sometimes the hardest years of childhood do not decide how far a person can go.

But they can shape the patience, discipline, and resilience that later change everything.

Leonardo Del Vecchio started with no fortune, no family business, and no powerful connections.

He ended his life as the man behind eyewear known across the world.

🤔 What do you think matters most in extraordinary success — talent, character, or the ability to keep going for years after a difficult start?

Your Biggest Failure? Never Trying.

12/09/2026

Success rarely comes without setbacks.

Sergey Brin’s words are a reminder that behind every breakthrough are the experiments that didn’t work, the risks that didn’t pay off, and the failures that taught us what to do differently.

So, don’t be afraid of failing. Sometimes, it’s simply the first step towards getting it right.
