INTRODUCTION:
I hereby introduce VAF FORENSIC SERVICES as a company that provides Forensic as well as Contract Optimization services within all areas and functions within the mining industry relating to both underground and open pit mining.
Our services include both operational and financial areas as well as Security & Occupational Safety Audits. This said we can perform Forensic Contract reviews in any industry where contractors are involved.

VAF FORENSIC SERVICES staff has a combined 46 years' experience in the Forensics, Accounting, contract reviews and contract optimization audits. Vincent French is well known within the Mining industry in Continental Africa.
PHILOSOPHY:
VAF FORENSIC SERVICES focuses on any area within the mining industry for its clients, with our main objective, to recover costs for the mine by utilizing intensive analytical forensic audits and in the case of contracts, contract analysis and optimization and bring culprits to book.
This means cash back and enhanced recommended controls, leading to an improved control environment. As an example, while performing Contract Optimization and Forensic audits at two mining operations in Mali for a period of one year, a total of US$ 33 million was recovered in the form of credit notes. This is cash that the mining operations did not know was lost to them.
MAIN AREAS OF FOCUS:
VAF FORENSIC SERVICES focuses on the following (but is not limited to) areas:
All contracts, especially large contracts with Rise and Fall as well as FOREX formulations;
Any area within mining operations including the Finance, Procurement, Supply- chain and Contracts functions where the client feels the need for a forensic audit/ investigations to be performed;
Security audits including access control, camp security assessments, security vulnerability assessments and self-defence training in the use of the Tonfa.
