We had a fantastic show of community spirit from the George Riding Club livery family this past Sunday! 🌿🐎

After the recent strong winds left the grounds covered in sticks, branches, and debris, our liveries came together with rakes, gloves, and plenty of determination to help restore the club grounds to their beautiful condition.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time and worked so hard — your effort, teamwork, and willingness to lend a hand truly make this club such a special place. It was wonderful to see everyone pulling together, and the grounds are looking incredible again thanks to all of you! 💚

We are very lucky to have such a dedicated and caring community at George Riding Club.

Happy belated Mother’s Day! 🌸
With all the wild weather — flooding, fallen trees, and the general chaos — I think we can safely allow for delayed celebrations this year 😝

Here’s to all the supportive horse moms, barn moms, show moms, and every woman who somehow manages to keep both humans and horses fed, organised, loved, and moving forward every day. May you have been spoiled, appreciated, and reminded just how much you do behind the scenes. 🐴💐

The horse world runs on strong women… and a lot of coffee, plasters, and patience. 🤍

SANESA RULES - PASSPORT POWER!

Guess what? Just like you need a passport to travel, your horse or pony needs one too!

Every horse and pony competing at SANESA shows MUST have a valid passport. No passport = no competition!

Your horse's passport is like their special ID card. It tells everyone who your pony is and shows they've had their important vaccinations.

Before your next show, make sure you:

✅ Have your pony's passport
✅ Check it's up to date
✅ Remember to bring it with you!

I don’t think horses were ever meant to be just animals.
I think they were a gift.
Placed gently in our lives by a God who knew
exactly how much our hearts would need them.

Because God knew there would be days
when words wouldn’t be enough.
Days when prayers felt heavy.
Days when the world would move too fast
and our souls would struggle to keep up.

So He gave us horses.

He gave us a creature
strong enough to carry our weight
and gentle enough to carry our pain.
A being that doesn’t ask for explanations,
doesn’t rush healing,
doesn’t need us to be anything
other than honest.

God knew we’d need a place to breathe.
So He gave us barns.
Quiet aisles.
Early mornings and golden evenings
where the noise of the world fades
and His presence feels closer.

He gave us horses
who feel our emotions before we speak them.
Who meet our fear with patience.
Who answer our brokenness with stillness.
Who teach us trust
without ever saying a word.

There are moments with horses
that feel like prayers in themselves—
a warm muzzle resting against your chest,
a steady breath matching your own,
a quiet ride where the only sound
is hoofbeats and your heart finally slowing down.

And in those moments,
you realize:
this is holy ground.

God blesses us with horses
to teach us things we might never learn otherwise.
Patience.
Humility.
Gentleness.
Faith.

He teaches us that strength doesn’t have to be loud.
That power can exist alongside softness.
That healing often comes slowly,
one quiet moment at a time.

He gives us horses
to walk with us through seasons—
childhood dreams,
growing pains,
heartbreak,
motherhood,
loss,
and becoming.

Some horses stay for a lifetime.
Some only for a chapter.
But every one of them
leaves fingerprints on our souls.

And even when we lose them,
even when the barn feels emptier
and our hearts ache,
we still see God’s blessing in the love we were given.
Because not everyone gets to know
a bond that deep.
A love that pure.
A connection that changes who you are forever.

I believe God knew
exactly what He was doing
when He created horses.

He knew we’d need something
that reminded us to slow down,
to listen,
to trust,
to feel.

Something that would draw us closer
to creation,
to peace,
and to Him.

So when I thank God for my blessings,
I thank Him for horses—
for the healing they bring,
the lessons they teach,
and the way they lead us back
to what truly matters.

Because horses aren’t just part of our lives.
They are part of God’s grace toward us—
a reminder that even in a loud world,
He still speaks softly.

And sometimes…
He speaks through a horse.
