Umvoti Municipality is proud to be the host of the launch of the Alien Invasive Species Clearing Project.
Led by the MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs MS NOMUSA DUBE-NCUBE, this clearing project aims to clear invasive, alien plants from communities in our province.
Invasive alien plants cause damage to the environment as well as human economy. More often than not, invasive plants tend to use or need more water to survive, ultimately being more costly to maintain.
As part of a continued effort to maintain a sustainable environmental habit for those that come after us, you are invited to join us tomorrow at the Enhlalakahle Sports field, 10:00 am

Umvoti Youth Job in Waste (Team) & Umvoti Aids Centre (Team), had came up with Ecobricking project as a new and very sustainable way of recycling plastic, with the potential of transforming entire communities. It can be used to help solve some of the biggest issues found within developing countries such as like our small town (Greytown). The bricks are idea for building homes, farms, composts and many more things.
