🚨 VISIBLE STAND-OFF| DANA BAY 🚨

This morning a high-visibility stand-off operation took place in Dana Bay, carried out by Alert Patrol, UNIC, and DBS Security.

This joint operation was conducted to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to fighting crime, protecting residents, and maintaining a strong security presence in our communities.

🐕‍🦺 UNIC’s K9 Unit was on site, showcasing the power and professionalism of the largest K9 security company in the Garden Route. These highly trained dogs and handlers play a critical role in crime prevention, suspect apprehension, patrol support, and rapid response operations.

Two suspects were arrested successfully on the evening of 19 March, following information with regards to a suspect vehicle and stolen goods. This was a team effort in cooperation with DBS Security, Dana Bay Neighbourhood Watch, and our own Unic security K9 unit. Thank you to all involved for making our town and neighbourhood safe. VACANCIES: CONTROL ROOM OPERATORS
MOSSEL BAY

Key Responsibilities:
-Enforce the Company’s ‘Code of Conduct’ .
-Ensure that the Control Room is fully operational and efficient.
-Handle and resolve Staff and Client Complaints.
-Carry out duties and tasks as per the Site Job Description.
-Ensure that the primary function of the Control Room is always upheld.

Minimum Requirements:
-PSIRA Registered.
-Matric Certified.
-Valid police clearance
-3 to 5 years of experience in the Security Industry.
-3 to 5 years of Control Room Experience.
-Solid Computer Competency.
-Electronic Equipment experience will be advantageous.
-Knowledge of the Security Industry regulations including Operational and Client requirement.
-Must reside in Mossel Bay

Competencies:
-Excellent Report Writing Skills.
-Excellent Leadership Skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication Skills.
-Ability to effectively deal with employees, clients public.
-Attention to detail.
-Ability to generate reports.

• Able to speak, write and read in Afrikaans and one additional language.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience
• No criminal record
• Must be physically fit
• Must be willing to work shifts
• Willingness to undergo training

A Heart-warming Unic Tale

K9 Troy and his partner Lalla were introduced to the Unic K9 unit as young Swiss Shepherds.

Troy quickly displayed his intelligence and remarkable potential to the unit.

He excelled in training swiftly, emerging as our most highly skilled K9.

Troy's exceptional attacking abilities made him a featured performer in various shows. His level of obedience surpassed our expectations.

He gained immense popularity, and every handler was eager to collaborate with him. He became a true legend. During nighttime patrols, his favourite pastime was chasing flashlight beams.

Troy retired two years ago and is no longer with us, but rest assured, he received excellent care and lived a life brimming with love.

Most of our dogs are donated, as we believe in giving them second chances.

Special Note: Lalla passed away earlier this year due to cancer, and we still have their affectionate daughter in our K9 team.
