Mapping Context & Connections — the details.

If you saw my earlier post on ecosystemic mapping, this is the next step: a small, in-person space to actually do it.

What: A 2-hour facilitated session using ecosystemic mapping to explore the relationships, influences and possibilities shaping something you're navigating right now - personal, professional or community-based.

When: Wednesday, 12 August, 08:00–10:00

Where: Vermont, Hermanus

Cost: R300 per person

Spots: Max 10, kept small and personal for a meaningful, safe experience

To bring: A question, transition, challenge or opportunity you're currently exploring.

You'll leave with a clearer understanding of your ecosystem and your place within it, and practical ways to move forward with more confidence and clarity. Not every insight will be comfortable - we'll explore that with you too.

Mapping Context & Connections

What becomes visible when you step back and look at the whole picture?

Last year I learnt one of the most valuable (and sometimes vulnerable) practice through my Regenerative Leadership journey... ecosystemic mapping.

It's learnt as a core skill for regenerative practices - exploring how living-systems thinking applies to business and an ecosystem facilitator in both professional and personal life, learning to listen to and read greater system a a whole. A sensing practice.

I see it as a great opportunity to practice regenerative exploration for navigating complexity, connection and change.

Seeing your connections that exist and taking a moment to be honest about their health introduces a whole new dimension to mapping your own ecosystem.

Looking forward to sharing this practice during my Thought Partner sessions and workshops within my community 🌿

The concept of Ecosystemic mapping is from Giles Hutchins & Laura's Storm's Regenerative Leadership book.

I've felt the weight of being unseen, unheard, disconnected during incredibly tough times, and used that experience to learn how to create spaces where connection actually feels real and meaningful.

That's the work now. Slowing things down for teams to create conditions where relationships become more visible - with themselves, with each other, and with the systems they're part of.

It's being comfortable enough as a facilitator to meet the team exactly where they are - no fixing, no agenda, just what's actually true in the room.

Naturally curious and sensitive in nature - my own thinking is its own kind of ecosystem: originally rooted in organisational psychology, industrial relations and sociology, then leaning into the fascinating world of biomimicry, and regenerative leadership, all interacting to shape how I show up in this work.

Next month I'll be resharing a practice from my Regenerative Leadership journey that I also use in my Thought Partnership work - a simple way to map out what's really influencing a challenge or transition you're sitting with, so that the next step becomes clearer.

Something I designed for teams that are still functioning but feel a little disconnected underneath the surface...

This is a gentle invitation to pause.

ReConnect Team Experiences are about slowing down, restoring awareness, and creating space for real connection - without the noise of traditional team building.

If this feels relevant for your team, I’m always open to a conversation.

After a rather busy festive season (including two family weddings 😅), I’ve spent this week slowing down a bit - taking a pause, reflecting on last year, and gently sensing into what this year is asking of me.

My word for the year is ALIGNMENT.
Leaning into what feels right, and being okay with letting go of things that don’t.

I don’t focus on development or performance - I focus on helping teams reconnect and realign so change can happen sustainably. In order to continue to grow, it’s something I need to live and breathe in my work too.

I’ve been reminded that to create that kind of space for others, I have to arrive that way myself: grounded, present, and aligned.

If you’re skipping resolutions this year and tuning into what really resonates right now…

what word is guiding you as you begin the year?

As the year draws to a close, may we take a moment to pause and acknowledge 2025...

Thank you to those of you - whether it's friends, colleagues or clients - for all the care, curiosity and integrity you bring to the work of rebuilding connection.

I appreciate you 🌿

Does the way I hold space for teams really matter? 🌿

A few weeks ago, doubt popped up - quiet, fleeting, but insistent.
I felt a little nuts sharing this, but I suspect many of you who’ve gone out on your own have felt the same.

Why not choose something safer? More predictable? More familiar?

What I do is unfamiliar here.
It’s scary: I ask leaders to trust me with their teams - their most important resource - through a process whose benefits aren’t always obvious. I’m asking them to step into a space that’s experiential, not purely intellectual.

Grateful to be on the Regenerators year-long Leadership journey, I asked myself instead:

"What is this moment trying to refine in me?"

Sensing. Adapting. Responding.

And I was reminded of my purpose of creating IntaConnect:
to create environments where real connection can return.

Work that doesn’t chase trends, it comes from lived experience, purpose, and the way I see people.
I can’t un-know that 🌿

I was humbled by this message from someone I recently connected with:
“Paula embodies deep presence and heart-centered connection. The conversation felt deeply nourishing and inspiring. Her work in leadership development is so important - I highly recommend exploring it with her.”

As we shift into a reflective time of the year, I’d love to hear from you:
Have you ever felt doubt when following your own path? How did you navigate it?
