We are a boutique wine farm in the Hemel-en-Aarde, that produce high quality award winning wines and The dream is now a reality.

Domaine des Dieux - Place of the Gods - began as a dream, after many visits to Burgundy and a love that developed for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Champagne. In 2002 we bought a small 28 ha farm, nestled in the foothills of the highest mountain peak in the Hemel-en-Aarde - Babylonstoren, and made sure it lent itself to the growing of premium Pinot noir and Chardonnay, amongst other cultivars that we

re carefully chosen & matched to terroir. Over the past decade we have established ourself as a boutique cellar that produces small volumes of superior award winning wines. Our portfolio currently consists of 6 wines, with our Flagships being our 2 MCC's Rose of Sharon and Claudia, as well as our Josephine Pinot Noir. The rest of the range is made up with an award winning Chardonnay and aged Sauvignon Blanc.

What an honour to be included in Tim Atkin MW South Africa Report 2026, and to have our Claudia R.D. 2012 named among the Sparkling Wine Discoveries of the Year. ✨

Our Claudia R.D. 2012 received 94 points, while our Claudia Brut 2021 and Rosé of Sharon 2017 each received 93 points.

We’re incredibly proud to see these three wines recognised, a very special moment for our team at Domaine des Dieux. 🥂

A drier & slightly warmer winter than usual has brought an early sense of spring to the vineyards, with the first signs of new growth already beginning to emerge.

While our team works to complete pruning, we're still enjoying the crisp, beautiful scenery & quiet mornings that make this valley so special.

As we welcome the New Year and reflect on the festive season just passed, we’d like to take a moment to say thank you.
