The age-old saying goes,"Cabernet Sauvignon is the king of wines, and the wine of kings."

Today we celebrate a variety that has captivated wine lovers for generations and has found a distinctive expression in Walker Bay's cool-climate vineyards.

We're grateful to see the character of our wines recognised through recent accolades, including the Vinography Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 being named Best Wine of Show and Best Cabernet Sauvignon at the Michelangelo Awards in 2025, and later recognised as a National Winner at the 2026 SA Terroir Wine Awards.

Most importantly, these wines reflect the dedication of our vineyard and cellar teams and the unique terroir we are privileged to call home.

Here's to Cabernet Sauvignon and the stories it continues to tell around the world. 🍷

Two wines. Two Gold Awards. One proud Benguela Cove moment. 🥂

We’re delighted to announce that Benguela Cove Lighthouse Dry Rosé 2026 and Benguela Cove Cuvée 58 Brut Rosé Cap Classique NV have each received a Gold Award at the 2026 Rosé Wine & Spirit Challenge.

Dedicated to pink wines and spirits, the competition evaluates rosé within specialist categories, giving these wines the attention they deserve. And at Benguela Cove, we select and manage specific vineyards for rosé production. Our cool Walker Bay climate and proximity to the Atlantic Ocean help us create wines with freshness, balance and flavour.
