🔥 SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY – COPPER THEFT SUSPECT APPREHENDED 🔥

At 03:14 on 30 August 2026, our Gladiator Security Control Room picked up two suspicious individuals on our Scottburgh street monitoring cameras. Due to the time and their behaviour, a response team was immediately dispatched.

While reviewing the footage, it was observed that one suspect exited a footpath, checked the surroundings, and then signalled the second suspect—who appeared to be hiding items under his jacket.

As our response officer approached, both suspects fled into the golf course. A chase ensued, and one suspect was successfully detained. Additional units searched the bushes for the second suspect, who remains outstanding.

Upon searching the detained suspect, suspected stolen copper cable was found in his possession. He refused to disclose where the copper was taken from or identify the second suspect.

Scottburgh SAPS arrived within minutes and took custody of the suspect for further investigation. The recovered copper cable has been secured.

⚡ SUCCESS: SUSPECT APPREHENDED WITH STOLEN PROPERTY ⚡

Earlier today, at approximately 11:00 AM, our Gladiator Response Team was patrolling Reynolds Street when they spotted a suspicious individual carrying bags of visible copper cable.
Our officer immediately intervened and stopped the individual. Upon inspection, the suspect was found in possession of:
🔹 Copper wire and cable
🔹 Brass and copper fittings
🔹 Various tools
🔹 2 x Knives

The suspect was successfully detained and transported to the Umkomaas SAPS for further investigation. All recovered items have been safely booked into the SAPS 13 register.

🚨 SUSPECT APPREHENDED WITH STOLEN PROPERTY IN WIDENHAM 🚨
Quick thinking and teamwork by our Gladiator Security response units led to the successful arrest of a suspect and the recovery of stolen infrastructure assets earlier today.

📍 Location: R102 / Railway Line near Golf Course, Widenham

While responding to an alarm activation on the R102, a Gladiator unit spotted three suspicious individuals entering the bushes near the Golf Course. Backup was immediately radioed to the scene to assist with a thorough search of the area. Our team intercepted a male suspect walking along the railway line. Though initially clear upon a preliminary search, he remained a person of interest.
Moments later, a report flagged on the local crime group regarding a suspect carrying railway cable in the vicinity. Gladiator units intensified their search and intercepted the same male near Vista.

This time, the suspect was found in possession of:
🛠️ Housebreaking tools
🔧 A wheel spanner
🚊 Stolen PRASA aluminium railway cable
⛽ Stolen signage from the Engen garage

The suspect was detained on the scene and handed over to the Umkomaas SAPS for official processing and further investigation. All stolen items were successfully recovered.

🚨 VEHICLE RECOVERY SUCCESS 🚨

A hijacked Toyota Quantum has successfully recovered following swift action, reliable information, and strong cooperation between private security and SAPS.

On 14 August 2026, at approximately 14:30, information was received from an informer regarding a suspected stripped Toyota Quantum shell in the Kelso/Malangeni area.

Further investigation confirmed that the vehicle had been hijacked in April 2026, with a case registered at Port Shepstone SAPS (CAS 3 # #/4/2026).
Acting on the information, Gladiator Security Services – Operations Unit proceeded to investigate and successfully located and recovered the vehicle.

🚨 SUCCESS REPORT: THEFT SUSPECT APPREHENDED 🚨

Our Gladiator Security Services Farm Watch Unit successfully took another criminal off the streets this morning!

What Happened:
Our strategically placed bush camera picked up movement in a known hotspot walkway used by housebreaking perpetrators. The Farm Watch Unit responded immediately to the alert.
Upon arrival, our officers caught the suspect red-handed on a Renishaw property while he was in the process of stealing copper cables and copper pipes from a house.
The suspect was swiftly apprehended by the Gladiator Farm Watch Unit and handed over to the Scottburgh SAPS for further investigation and processing.

A massive thank you to the Scottburgh SAPS for their rapid response and vital assistance in ensuring the suspect was processed and charged. ⚡ STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED IN CRAIGIEBURN ⚡

Early this morning, our Gladiator response team successfully disrupted criminal activity and recovered a large amount of stolen property near Landin Farm.

Incident Overview:
At 04:55 while patrolling near the Astron Garage in Craigieburn, our officer spotted suspicious smoke coming from Landin Farm. The officer parked on the main road and moved in on foot to investigate. The officer spotted two suspects and gave chase as they fled into the dense bushes. Unfortunately, using the cover of darkness, they managed to escape. Backup arrived, and a search of the scene uncovered a large sum of stolen copper, along with housebreaking tools and equipment.
SAPS Handover – All recovered exhibits were secured and booked in at the Umkomaas SAPS.

While the suspects managed to evade arrest this time, we successfully halted their operations and stripped them of their tools and stolen goods. The investigation remains ongoing.

🚨 SUCCESSFUL APPREHENSION AT UMZINTO 🚨

Early this morning, our rapid response team successfully apprehended a suspect during an attempted break-in at a local Umzinto Store.

Incident Overview:
At 00:06 an alarm was triggered at the store's receiving area. Our Umzinto response team arrived on site within three minutes. Guards immediately searched the back area and caught the suspect standing near the receiving cages. Video footage confirmed the suspect was attempting to break into a cage containing a freezer motor.

Arrest – SAPS was called to the scene, and the suspect was handed over into police custody.

🚨 SUCCESS REPORT: HIJACKED TRUCK RECOVERED 🚨

Teamwork wins the day! On Tuesday, 11 August 2026, a coordinated effort led to the successful recovery of a hijacked truck in the Park Rynie area.

📈 How it happened:
The Alert: Gladiator Security Services, Umzinto K9, and Cartrack received information about a hijacked truck travelling along the R612 toward Park Rynie.
The Chase: Team members spotted the vehicle and initiated a swift pursuit toward Alkins Drive.
The Intercept: Operational teams successfully blocked and recovered the truck on Alkins Drive.

The suspect managed to evade arrest at the scene, but the vehicle was safely secured. The recovered truck has been handed over to the Scottburgh SAPS for further processing and investigation.

🔥 GATE MOTOR THEFT SUSPECT BUSTED – GLADIATOR SECURITY ON SCENE 🔥

The CCPO has been on high alert following a spike in gate motor theft across the Toti area. After weeks of reviewing CCTV footage and conducting targeted patrols, the suspect’s luck finally ran out.

Last night, one of the CCPO committee members identified and apprehended the suspect based on clothing seen in multiple CCTV clips. Backup was immediately activated, with ET Rapid Response, CCPO members, and Gladiator Security arriving on scene within minutes.

The suspect was found in possession of tools used to remove gate motors. With thefts reported across the South Coast, Gladiator Security joined CCPO, ET Rapid, SAP Umzinto K9, and SAP Provincial Organized Crime to link the suspect to approximately 30 cases spanning Scottburgh, Amanzimtoti, Bluff, and Hillcrest.
