🚨 LAZER 911 SECURITY ARRESTED SUSPECT WITH FIREARM at ASTRON GARAGE, UMTENTWENI 🚨

At approximately 02h00 on 31 August 2026, an unknown male entered the shop at Astron Garage, Umtentweni, and demanded to speak with the manager.

The individual subsequently forcefully entered the manager’s office and remained inside without authorization. The on-duty Lazer 911 Security Guard immediately approached the individual and instructed him to vacate the premises and return during normal business hours.

As the Security Guard escorted the individual from the store, the suspect produced a firearm and attempted to c**k the weapon, creating an immediate and potentially fatal threat to the Security Guard, employees and members of the public.

Recognising the severity of the situation, our Security Guard demonstrated exceptional courage and quick thinking, engaging the suspect and attempting to wrestle control of the firearm while deliberately forcing the weapon away from staff and patrons.

The struggle continued for some time, during which the Lazer 911 24-Hour Control Room was immediately alerted. A Tactical Response Team was dispatched to the scene to provide assistance.

Through the combined efforts of our Security Guard and responding Tactical Officers, the firearm was safely recovered and the suspect was taken into SAPS custody for further investigation and the necessary legal proceedings.

Thankfully, there were no fatalities or serious injuries reported during the incident.

Lazer 911 Assists in Major Dagga Arrest

Last night Lazer 911 Control Centres received a panic activation from our client near the Marburg Toll Plaza, reporting a commotion involving a vehicle.

Reaction officer Winston investigated the situation and, after identifying suspicious activity, Lazer 911 Control Room contacted SAPS. Our officer responded swiftly and discovered that this was far more than an ordinary vehicle stop, with large quantities of dagga reportedly being bought and sold.

SAPS arrived and together with officer Winston, successfully detained six suspects, including the individual allegedly selling the dagga.

🚨 LAZER 911 INCIDENT – SUSPECT APPREHENDED 🚨

At approximately 01:45 this morning, Lazer 911 Reaction Officer Excellent was approached at JTV Centre, Umtentweni, by two members of the public reporting a male lying in the roadway near Sandalwood Complex.

Excellent immediately responded and found the male deceased. SAPS and ambulance services were notified.

Further investigation, together with backup units David and Willie, led to the identification and location of a suspect in the Tweni area. The suspect was successfully apprehended and handed over to SAPS for further investigation.

👏 Well done to Excellent, David and Willie for their swift response, teamwork and dedication to protecting our community.

Tactical Team Responds Swiftly to Hijacking

Lazer 911 received a tip-off regarding the hijacking of a Toyota Hilux by two suspects in the Mohlomnyama area.

Our Lazer 911 Tactical Team, led by Whisky 1, responded immediately and successfully recovered the stolen vehicle at Louisiana Farm.

✅ Vehicle recovered with no visible damage
✅ Vehicle owner sustained no physical injuries
✅ Spare key obtained from the owner
✅ Matter handed over to SAPS for further investigation
