When you have limited space as I have, you are constantly optimising space, every single cm3!

And anyway, it’s cool and fun!

I have been working on the fabrication bench in the forge (one of three work benches) for the last week or so - happy with how it’s evolving.

There has been quite an increase in requests for welding training (I have another two ladies joining on Saturday).

With winter coming on strong now, I don’t think the outside fabrication table will be much fun for training, so I decided to set up a welding station inside the Forge, on what was originally planned as a fabrication bench, but quickly became a flat spot to dump stuff on.

There is additional overhead lighting, and the welding screen (3mm plate) and fixture plate (16mm) are both removable if the need arises.

Another Forge improvement project done ✅.

Mother and daughter learning to weld today - First Ladies and first flux core (FAW) course.

I am convinced more than ever that FAW is the way to go for DIY and homeowners.

Quick visit to the forge yesterday after breaking my ankle in November - hope to be back to full capability in the near future.

Welded up a quick bracket on my homemade fixture plate, to tripod mount my red lights and phone when I want to work bees at night.
