Most people see danger. We saw something worth understanding.

This is a Puff Adder (Bitis arietans), one of the most iconic snakes found throughout southern Africa.

Despite its reputation, it isn’t an aggressive snake looking for trouble. Like most wildlife, its first priority is avoiding conflict whenever possible.

One of the things we love most about safari is that learning never stops. Every conversation with researchers, guides and field specialists changes the way we see the animals around us.

These images were recorded during a presentation by snake specialist Wildlife Safety Solutions, who generously shared his knowledge about Africa’s remarkable snakes.

Yet another Black Mamba capture yesterday evening. This is the second mamba I have captured at the exact some location in less than a week.
Believe it or not we are just over a month away from spring time and we can expect a marked increase in snake activity in the coming months.
