Modern consumers care about the environment, and want their brands to do the same. In order to thrive in this digital, consumer driven age, businesses NEED to become customer centric. That means, putting your customers, and the things they care about, above "chasing sales".

You’ve either seen the hype of ’s new bottle or the deserved fall out at the ridiculousness of this new bottle.

Either way you should be outraged at this latest publicity stunt to make their bottles stand out from the rest- WHY you ask?

The bottles are made of HDPE, a type of resin which is highly recycled in SA. The white bottles are one of the most valuable recyclable materials, by making their bottles blue- they are now worth close to 40% less in the recycling system.

This will impact the waste picking community, who have already been hard hit by Covid and other factors. The communities who depend on the value of recycling for their survival.

Yet another example of how corporates prioritise exponential growth and profits over their social and environmental responsibility.
