Needless to say there has been a lot of tricky technical challenges to make it work in those sub zero and wind conditions. The good news is that there is no uncertainty anymore, solar works in Antarctica and can save a lot of expensive diesel. Amazing to see the Bi-facial Solar Panels from Canadian Solar producing power around the clock.

Our containers with the inverters, batteries and panels for the solar system at the White Desert Antarctica Wolf's Fang Camp have arrived in Antarctica. Now they need to be pulled inland.
The window for transport and installation is very short since the camp is only operating from November to February due to ice, weather and available light.
This system will only be able to go into operation in the next season.
We are very excited to be part of such a special project!
