Wanyuka Agricultural, Business Training and Rural Development Siyadiliva Nomakanjani! Wanyuka Consultants CC was born out of a need identified in the local rural community.

For 20 years the member, Susan Pletts has been working closely with rural communities in Zululand. This has entailed education of learners, adult literacy, general upgrade situations, rural development and business administration and training.

Been a while since we've been so rural. This group have an irrigation project Mbonwa in the KwaMachi area near Harding in KZN. 21 excited people really loved this irrigation training intervention. Venue - zulu hut which was lovely and cool.

This bakery was established to complement the KuhlelKudla fresh produce project. Employment was appreciated and the bread and confectionery that emanated from that production line was just awesome - we are convinced it was because of the amazing fresh spring water on the property. The project was designed in such a way that the bread was to leave the bakery in the fresh produce trucks which would return having been filled with amazing fresh veggies and fruit which was to be marketed on behalf of the rural people.

Farming has been in my blood for many years. This awesome Sussex bull - Start Juvenile Official -was my pride and joy. He was the king of them all. With a few helpers he serviced my stud herd of some 300 cows. I chose stud farming because I wasn't too keen on seeing my animals going off to slaughter. I felt someone else would be better at that job!

These peas are amazing and I need to share this story! This pea patch was just about destroyed by monkeys. Not a leaf or flower left. I was heartbroken and just never went back to look - and when I did go back just look at what I found- a thriving pea patch which already has developing peas that are visible. So moral of this story - if it happens to you! Don't dig out the peas - they will return!
