Santana Lifting Projects is a leading mobile crane hire company with over 20 years of experience providing lifting solutions across South Africa.
We are looking for a hands-on, organised, and proactive Yard Operations & Asset Controller to join our operations team.
This key role is responsible for ensuring our yard, fleet, equipment, stores, documentation, and facilities are maintained to the highest operational and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
✅ Daily yard inspections and operational checks
✅ Ensure cranes, trucks, trailers, and equipment are ready for deployment
✅ Monitor fleet condition, lifting equipment, chains, slings, and accessories
✅ Manage stock control, stores, consumables, oils, filters, and PPE
✅ Monitor diesel levels and refuelling processes
✅ Maintain accurate operational documentation and reports
✅ Update records on company systems (Monday.com)
✅ Support workshop operations and coordinate maintenance requirements
✅ Conduct safety inspections and assist with compliance requirements
✅ Inspect company facilities and report maintenance needs
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
✔ Grade 12 (Matric)
✔ Valid driver's licence
✔ 3–5 years’ experience in operations, logistics, workshop administration, or asset control
✔ Strong administrative and organisational skills
✔ Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
✔ Experience with stock control and inventory management
✔ Ability to work independently in an office and industrial yard environment
ADVANTAGEOUS
⭐ Experience in mobile cranes, lifting, transport, engineering, or construction industries
⭐ Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety requirements
⭐ Experience with Monday.com or similar systems
⭐ Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment and fleet operations

Office Admin Assistant

Santana Lifting Projects is seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Office Admin Assistant to support our internal operations team.

This role plays a key function in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all operational documentation within a fast-paced crane and lifting environment, where compliance, safety, and record-keeping are critical to daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain structured physical and digital filing systems.
Capture, upload, and manage job cards, registers, and operational documentation.
Assist with weekly system updates and document control processes.
Provide administrative support to Operations, Logistics, Workshop, and Yard teams.
Assist with accommodation bookings and PPE stock record keeping.
Manage incoming calls and direct communication appropriately.
Support overall office organisation and administrative consistency.

Minimum Requirements:

Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration (or equivalent)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email)
Excellent organisational and filing abilities
Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Advantageous:

Experience in construction, logistics, transport, or crane operations.
Familiarity with job cards, timesheets, or operational documentation.
Basic understanding of health & safety systems.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Randburg, for a Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic for Mobile Cranes. The Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic for Mobile Cranes will be responsible for maintaining mobile crane fleet to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. They will diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of a crane and its attachments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, the manufacturer's guidelines, and the company's maintenance protocols. They will also interact with customers to understand their needs and provide efficient and effective solutions.

Qualifications
Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic
Extensive knowledge of mobile crane operations and crane maintenance
Experience with crane hydraulic and electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret diagnostic manuals and schematics
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner

Code 14 Driver’s Licence + valid PrDP

Valid Medical Certificate (fit for duty, OHS-compliant)

TETA-accredited Mobile Crane Operator Certificate: C33, C34, C35 (SAQA US 116254)

3–5 years proven experience operating mobile cranes on actual sites (state tonnage operated)

Key Duties

Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently according to lifting plans, load charts, and rigging signals

Perform daily pre-use inspections, logbooks, and defect reporting as per DMR 18 requirements

Transport and set up cranes on construction, industrial, and logistics sites
