Swift Response Leads to Multiple Apprehensions

In the early hours of Saturday, 22 August 2026, our Victor Bravo (VB) unit was conducting routine patrols in the C*D when an unsheltered individual alerted the officer to a group of approximately 12 suspects allegedly attacking members of the public in Oosterland Street.

Victor Bravo immediately responded and, upon arrival at approximately 04h01, confirmed that one individual had been injured.

SAPS was contacted and arrived on scene at 04h07, where suspects were apprehended. During the incident, baseball bats, pangas and a plastic fi***rm were confiscated.

The operation did not end there.

At 08h48, a non-client contacted our Control Room to report that four windows at his business had been damaged during the earlier altercation. Victor Bravo responded and, after reviewing CCTV footage, identified the individual allegedly responsible for the damage.

At 08h56, Victor Bravo located and apprehended the suspect at the corner of St Francis Street and Goedehoop Street. The suspect was subsequently handed over to SAPS, and a criminal case was opened.

👏 A great example of alertness, swift response and professional teamwork.

We would like to commend our Victor Bravo officer and Control Room for remaining vigilant and following the incident through to a successful conclusion.
