Our client, a BMW workshop based in Johannesburg (Midrand),and Durban (Athlone Park)is looking to employ qualified and experienced BMW and Mercedes Benz technicians.

Position Overview
The responsibilities of the qualified technician include:

- Performing diagnostic procedures using specialized diagnostic tools and extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to determine the cause of vehicle malfunction.
- Repairing or replacing defective parts and components or systems, including but not limited to engine, transmission, and suspension systems.
- Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and ensure all repairs are completed to BMW/ Mercedes Benz standards.
- Adhering to BMW/ Mercedes Benz service standards and guidelines.

Maintenance Service
- Performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Following BMW/ Mercedes Benz Maintenance schedules and service guidelines to ensure vehicle longevity and performance.

Documentation
- Accurately documenting all diagnostic procedures, repairs, and maintenance services performed on vehicles.
- Completing job cards and maintaining details for future references or warranty purposes.

Workshop Safety and Cleanliness
- Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keeping the workshop clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably with BMW certification or other German brand vehicles.
- A minimum of 3 years of technician/motor industry experience (essential).
- Technical qualification (Red Seal).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Clear criminal record.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
