May was a busy month across our leadership development portfolio, with new programme launches, cohort kick-offs and continued delegate growth.

Standard Bank SOAR Cohort 1 focused on Personal Branding and Networking, while Cohorts 2 and 3 kicked off with foundational modules including Who Am I, Be Heard, Personal Mastery, Biokinetics and The Corporate Athlete.

FNB SA Graduates gained momentum through Coaching Circles and completed Personal Mastery, Through the Lens of EQ and The Corporate Athlete.

Absa Core and Future both completed The Corporate Athlete. Core also covered Strategic Intelligence and Be Heard, while Future focused on Be Heard.

RMB Lotus delegates explored Personal Branding and participated in Movement sessions.

The FNB Broader Africa You Talent cohort (Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Eswatini and Lesotho) covered Professional Excellence, Pitching for Business Impact and Career Management, while progressing their ALPs.

Nedbank Tabono launched in May, beginning with Enneagram and Personal Mastery.

Telkom Graduates completed Be Heard while preparing for upcoming assessments.

Credit L&D Influence Accelerator delegates completed Be Heard, strengthening confidence and influence.

HEINEKEN Ela Lidera focused on Business Impact and Career Management.

Telkom Barbershop explored State of Our Masculinity and Leading Within, while ASCEND Amara completed Personal Mastery and Leader as Coach. Both Amara and Barbershop cohorts completed The Corporate Athlete.

The TNCO team experienced a Jenson8 Virtual Reality demonstration, showcasing the potential of immersive learning.

RMB Graduates closed the month with Personal Branding and Networking.

She Means Business hosted its Q2 event with She Ignites on 28 May at The Edge, bringing women together for an evening of connection and conversation.

We look forward to building on this momentum in the months ahead.

We spent the month of May celebrating mothers, and we couldn’t let it pass without sharing this. A few of the moms in our team, in their own words, on what motherhood really means to them.

From Joburg to Stellenbosch to launch something that matters.

Caitlyn and Noxie flew down to HEINEKEN Beverages International to open the doors on Ela Lidera 2026, a flagship women in leadership programme now running across South Africa, Kenya, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, and Miami.

Watch Caitlyn take you through the day, from the flight to the room where it all began.

Ela Lidera means “She Leads”. And this cohort? They already are.

Over the coming months these emerging leaders will build personal mastery, find their voice, own their careers, and form coaching circles that turn peer connection into real impact. This is leadership development built for the reality of today’s organisations, and we are proud to be the learning partner walking that journey with them.

To the 2026 cohort: no one is coming. You are the one you have been waiting for.

April was a month of growth, momentum, and meaningful new beginnings across our programmes and partnerships.

From ABSA Masedi to FNB, Standard Bank, Telkom, and beyond, we saw cohorts strengthen their personal brands, deepen self-awareness, and step into leadership with courage and clarity.

ABSA Masedi cohorts sharpened their voices through Personal Branding, Networking, and Strategic Intelligence, while FNB Graduate cohorts brought learning to life through Guest Speakers, Coaching Circles, and impactful business pitches.

Standard Bank SOAR launched with a strong focus on values, strengths, and self-awareness, setting the tone for the journey ahead. Broader Africa Young Talent continued building resilience through Professional Excellence.

We also proudly launched the Heineken Ela Lidera Programme, focused on personal mastery, confident self-expression, and being heard.

Across Telkom Ascend Amara, Telkom graduates, Transcend Barbershop, and RMB initiatives, participants explored self-leadership, strengths, reflection, and sustainable high performance.

April reminded us that growth is both a process and a practice. Through every session and conversation, we continue building leaders who are high-performing, self-aware, and intentional.

We recently welcomed the RMB team to The Edge for a day of movement, mindfulness, nutrition, and self-reflection — our Corporate Athlete Experience in full swing.

The day was built around a simple idea: high performance isn’t about pushing harder, it’s about resourcing yourself better. Energy, resilience, recovery — the things that quietly hold everything else up.

Here’s what the day looked like:
💡 Mindfulness — creating space to notice, focus, and respond rather than react
🥗 Nutrition — practical fuelling strategies for sustained energy through the demands of a working week
🏃‍♂️ Mindful movement on the field — getting out of the head and back into the body
🧊 Recovery — cold exposure and sauna to reset the nervous system
📝 Transformative Storytelling — pausing to reflect on the narratives we carry, and choosing the ones worth taking forward

Days like this aren’t a break from the work — they’re part of it. The kind of investment that compounds quietly over time in how teams show up, lead, and look after themselves.

📸 Swipe through for a few moments from the day.

A heartfelt thank you to our facilitators for holding such a generous, grounded space — and to the RMB team for arriving open and leaving lighter.

At TNCO, we truly believe that readers are leaders — and that’s not just a saying, it’s something we live by.

Every quarter, our CEO Helen Nicholson personally hand-picks books for each team member to read and reflect on. Why? Because we know that growth doesn’t stop when you leave the classroom. The best leaders are always learning, always evolving, and always investing in themselves. 📚

This quarter, our team was each given a book carefully selected just for them — and the results have been incredible. From fresh perspectives to new ways of thinking, the impact of reading is something you can see and feel across our entire team.

Here’s a look at a few of the books that were picked out for our team members this quarter. If you’re not already making reading a habit, let this be your sign to start.

Because at TNCO, we don’t just work hard — we grow hard. 📖✨

April gives us something rare: built-in pauses.

With a run of public holidays, it’s the perfect opportunity to step back—and use that time intentionally.

Our CEO & Founder, Helen Nicholson, shares why taking a proper three-day break matters. Not just to switch off, but to truly recover—so you can come back focused, energised, and ready to perform at your best.

Because not all rest is created equal:
→ Passive rest helps you slow down
→ Active rest helps you reset and restore

When you make space for both, you don’t just return—you come back better.
