Administrator: Marketing and Communication (B4)
Salary Level (Min. to Mid): R237 804 – R280 608 pa
FIXED TERM CONTRACT ALIGNED TO THE SETA LICENCE TERM
Head Office

Purpose: Implementation of requests for all Marketing and Communications projects submitted to the Unit. The Marketing and Communications Administrator will be responsible for assisting in the ex*****on of strategic communication plans, initiatives/campaigns that are aligned with the Corporate strategy of the merSETA. The Marketing and Communications Administrator will serve as the primary communications interface with internal/external customers on strategic communications procurement/administration.

Duties: The duties include but are not limited to the following:

1. Financial: Budget Monitoring
2. Purchase orders
3. Budget Allocations/Reallocations
4. Supplier Database Responsibilities
5. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of ongoing Marketing and Communications activities
6. Assisting with social media, conferences, exhibitions and other Marketing events
7. Adhere to Marketing and Communications policies and procedures
8. Manage Marketing and Communications internal processes including formal meetings,
9. Meet multiple project deadlines and demonstrate good attention to details
10. Audits
11. Ad-hoc tasks – as and when required
12. Learning and growth
13. Internal communication service to employees

Qualities, experience, knowledge and skills required:
• A minimum of Matric/NQF level 4.
• National Diploma/Degree in Public Relations, Communication Science or Media Studies
• 1-2 years relevant experience
• B Tech/Hons Degree in Public Relations, Communication Science or Media Studies /Communication Science would be an added advantage
• Basic/Intermediate knowledge of Supply Chain processes and management
• Teamwork
• Accuracy
• Communication – written and oral
• Customer orientation
• Project management
• Organised and self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
