A drone flight is much more than aerial photography.
For dams and Tailings Storage Facilities, the right survey technologies can provide detailed information about asset condition, geometry and change over time.

When Tailings Dam Safety Makes Headlines, Better Insight Matters

When tailings dam safety becomes headline news, the conversation about how we inspect and manage critical infrastructure becomes even more important.

The footage in this video of the tailings dam wall at Samancor’s Hernic Mine near Brits, which broke on the 13th August, is a powerful reminder of the scale of the risks associated with a TSF (Tailings Storage Facility)— and why understanding the condition of these structures is so important.
