SENIOR MATERIAL CONTROLLER (Solar PV) WANTED
STANDERTON, MPUMALANGA

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 (Matric).
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Electrical Engineering, Procurement, or a related field
Minimum 8–10 years' experience in material control within electrical construction, power generation, substations, transmission lines, renewable energy, mining, or industrial projects
Strong knowledge of electrical materials and equipment
Experience working on EPC, infrastructure, utility, mining, or renewable energy projects
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits
Control material costs and minimize wastage, damage, and losses
Coordinate logistics and transportation of materials to project sites
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and material variances
Issue materials to site personnel and maintain proper documentation
Liaise with suppliers, project managers, engineers, and warehouse personnel
Maintain accurate inventory records and update material tracking systems
Manage material returns, transfers, and disposal of obsolete stock
Monitor and report on material shortages, excess stock, and critical inventory items
Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability
Monitor material lead times and identify potential supply chain risks
Plan, coordinate, and control the flow of materials for projects and operations
Prepare material status reports, stock reports, and inventory forecasts
Receive, inspect, and verify materials against purchase orders and delivery notes
Supervise and mentor Material Controllers, Storekeepers, and Warehouse personnel
Support project planning by forecasting material requirements and procurement schedules
Track material usage and consumption against project requirements
Verify that materials comply with project specifications and quality requirements
