Vendors trading in undesignated spots must voluntarily relocate to officially designated local markets by 9️⃣ September 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣.Starting next Wednesday, authorities will dismantle illegal stalls and permanently deploy municipal police—backed by national law enforcement—to prevent vendors from re-occupying the cleared spaces.

As Regulatory Requirements,all informal traders are required to hold valid council licenses and operate exclusively in designated markets equipped with adequate water and sanitary facilities.

🔰THE LATEST UPDATE ON THE FATAL HARARE MASVINGO ACCIDENT

At least 2️⃣7️⃣ people have been confirmed dead and seven others were injured following a horrific head-on collision between a commuter omnibus (kombi) and a heavy haulage truck on Friday night, 2️⃣8️⃣ August 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣.

The accident occurred at the 1️⃣3️⃣0️⃣-kilometre peg along the Harare-Masvingo highway, approximately 1️⃣5️⃣ kilometres south of Chivhu, near Makumimavi Primary School.

A foreign-registered Volvo haulage truck collided head-on with an overloaded Nissan Caravan NV350 kombi.

According to a preliminary statement from the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the haulage truck was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it smashed into the oncoming kombi.

The passengers in the kombi were congregants of the African Apostolic Church (Mwazha). They were travelling from Dema to Mvuma to attend a regional church conference.

27 people are confirmed dead. Upon impact, the kombi burst into flames and was completely reduced to a shell, trapping several passengers inside. Seven survivors were rushed to Chivhu Hospital with injuries.

Police Commissioner Paul Nyathi stated that the bodies of the deceased have been taken to the Chivhu Hospital mortuary. Official names will be released once the next of kin have identified the victims, as many were burnt beyond recognition.

This tragedy comes just days after another major collision on 2️⃣3️⃣ August along Seke Road, which claimed 1️⃣7️⃣ lives, prompting passenger rights groups to renew calls for stricter road safety enforcement across Zimbabwe‼️❌️⭕️❗️
