I remember when I used to write for myself.

It wasn't about who was going to read what I wrote, or what they were going to think.
Oh, it was bliss. šŸ˜€

What came as a surprise was discovering that when I did share my work, people found value in it. They enjoyed reading it. They enjoyed listening to me speak. They even enjoyed watching me perform.

You see, I never did it for performance.

For me, it was simply about being true. Being authentic. Saying what was in my heart and allowing it to exist outside of me.

And I'm so grateful for the space that Ubomi is creating for me to return to a love I had forgotten and, perhaps, even forsaken somewhere along the way.

The first letter of Ubomi Reflections was released yesterday.

Oh, my little heart is at home. šŸ„ŗšŸ¤Ž

If you'd like to join me on this journey of discovering, learning and becoming, then consider this your invitation to be my fellow traveller.

I'd love to have you along.

This morning, as we were driving to church, we saw a rainbow. Normally, you see a rainbow from a distance, and as you drive on, you leave it behind. But this morning was different. Every time we thought we had passed it, it appeared again—more beautiful, more vibrant, and more glorious than before.

At the same time, it was raining. Yet the sun was shining.

I was convinced that the Lord was saying something....I'm not sure what it is but what I was left within me is this: the beauty and glory of God are not reserved for after the storm. We often wait for the rain to stop before expecting the sunshine, but God reminds us that both can exist at the same time. In the very midst of trials, tribulations, and uncertainty, His glory can still be seen. His mercy is still evident. His grace is still sufficient.

The rainbow, a reminder of God's covenant and His faithfulness, appeared not after we had left the rain behind, but while the rain was still falling.

Maybe that's the encouragement someone needs today: Even now, while the storm still rages, you can experience His peace and behold His beauty. His presence is not postponed until the trial is over.

Yes, it will end well. But before it ends, it can still be well with your soul.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you - Isaiah 26:3

May was a lot of things: busy, beautiful, challenging, rewarding, and full of God's grace and goodness.

Hello, June. I'm ready for what God has next.

Some of the most beautiful moments happen in between the programme.

Quick conversations. Shared laughter. Honest reflections before stepping into rooms and onto stages.

Grateful for leaders who continue to show up for conversations around growth and for the opportunity to help create spaces where those conversations can happen.

A moment captured just before the MEC's media interview at the Construction and Infrastructure Summit which took place in East London this past week.
