DAILY UPDATE ON THE MOVEMENT OF THE COLD BOX UNIT ABNORMAL LOAD
Yesterday, 04th November 2024, the Cold Box Unit covered a total distance of 68 kilometres and had a night stop at the gate of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in Livingstone.
The load is on schedule and is expected to pass through the Livingstone Central Business District (CBD) this morning.
We will continue to closely monitor the movement and provide further updates to motorists and members of the public.
The Cold Box Unit Abnormal Load is in transit from Katima Mulilo Border to Solwezi's Kansanshi Mine.
The Cold Box Unit is critical to mining operations and weighs 154 metric tonnes, along with the two truck horses and self-steering axles, resulting in a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) of 224 metric tonnes.
