🚨 We’re Hiring!
📍 Project Manager
📌 Cape Town

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Develop and maintain sound business relations with clients on behalf of the company.
✅ Visit current industry events on-site to further cultivate client relationships.
✅ Liaise with client prior to, during and after event to ensure the event went according to plan and met client expectations.
✅ Establish the client’s requirements and work with the relevant Gearhouse Managers to provide solutions.
✅ Function as liaison between the client and Gearhouse SA throughout the quoting and negotiation process, ensuring that all the client's requirements are met and securing confirmation.
✅ Plan and co-ordinate the event; generate technical production schedules and organise the requirement details (equipment, personnel, transport, travel, forklifts etc) with the relevant Managers in weekly operations meetings.
✅ Monitor the progress and standard of job preparation by operations and administrative staff prior to load-in.
✅ Oversee the load-in and set up of equipment, ensuring that technical personnel are fully briefed.
✅ Provide on-site management support for the client, serving as the primary contact between him/her and Gearhouse technical personnel.
✅ Co-ordinate and support personnel from all disciplines onsite, ensuring adherence to Gearhouse SA codes of conduct, dress codes, customer service levels and health and safety standards.
✅ Perform a quality control function throughout the entire project.
✅ Complete and submit the Gearhouse SA Job Report Form.

Requirements:
• Matric, Project Management Course or equivalent on the job experience.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
• Previous project management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the technical production services requirements for the live event industry.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Compile renders of the overall proposed designs to clients.
✅ Familiarise him/herself with Gearhouse South Africa’s equipment so as to effectively utilise all elements in designs.
✅ Produce working drawings to assist with logistical planning and the compilation of equipment lists.
✅ Prepare working drawings of confirmed jobs for the technicians to provide a visual reference from which to complete the installation.
✅ Produce conceptual drawings/designs as required.
✅ Create and update a library of standard structures drawings.
✅ Update venue plans as required (hydrants etc).
✅ Develop and maintain an archive of all CAD drawings generated by Gearhouse Cape Town.
✅ Create new designs for stages/structures as required.
✅ Design within the parameters of safety regulations.

Requirements:
• Basic experience of CAD software and techniques.

📍 Audio Technician
📌 Cape Town

The Audio Technician will execute the technical aspects of a live event within his/her field of expertise for the audio division according to top production standards.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Check the audio equipment lists against technical information, ensuring that the list is comprehensive and accurate.
✅ Familiarise him/her self with the audio equipment list, schedules and drawings (when available).
✅ Prepare audio equipment for load-in, ensuring that the preparation areas are kept clean and safe in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
✅ Load and off-load trucks and return equipment to storage areas after the event.
✅ Take instruction from the Senior Technician/Project Manager or responsible person at the site.
✅ Perform duties efficiently and professionally and adhere to technical schedules.
✅ Setup/install audio equipment according to drawings, plans and/or instruction.
✅ Operate audio equipment for standard shows for any necessary rehearsals or set-up requirements and the actual event.
✅ Identify and repair minor technical problems (troubleshoot).
✅ Perform routine diagnostics, preventative maintenance and repairs of all equipment within his/her capabilities.
✅ Test defective equipment to determine cause of malfunction or failure, using related electrical testing apparatus.
✅ After the event, dismantle equipment and load trucks, checking that no
equipment is left behind on-site.

Requirements:
• Basic knowledge of audio equipment, practices and safety standards including their application to live events installations.
