APRIL FUEL PRICE ADJUSTMENTS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED.
March 31st - 13h50: The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has confirmed that the fuel prices for April 2026 will be adjusted as follows:
• Petrol 93 (ULP & LRP) - R3.06 per litre increase
• Petrol 95 ULP & LRP - R3.06 per litre increase
• Diesel (0.05%) sulphur - R7.37 per litre increase
• Diesel (0.005%) sulphur - R7.51 per litre increase
• Illuminating paraffin wholesale - R11.67 per litre increase.

The official Government press release states that the temporary reduction in the General Fuel Levy of R3.00 per litre of petrol and diesel has been “implemented in the price structure of petrol and diesel from the 1st April to the 5th May.” So the R3.00 relief has been taken off already and the above are the final prices.

Just a thought: I wonder if those fuel stations and wholesalers who saw fit over the past week or so to add up to R8.00 per litre of diesel will refund those who paid over the official price as stated above. Mmmmm.
