We're recruiting for the position of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) DevOps Engineer. This position is open to candidates in Johannesburg or Cape Town. The role will have a strong focus on the SAS Anti-Money Laundering (AML) solution and involves enabling platform reliability, automating deployments, and supporting the application layer to ensure seamless financial crime detection operations. You will work closely with engineering, security, and vendor teams to maintain a secure, scalable, and highly available AML platform.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• At least 3 to 7+ years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering or platform engineering
• Experience working with financial services platforms or regulated environments (preferably mobile money or banking)
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix system administration
• Knowledge of SAS platform administration (preferably SAS AML or SAS Viya)
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar)
• Understanding of networking, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns
• Experience with mobile financial services platforms
• Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), fraud detection, or financial crime systems
• Experience supporting SAS solutions in production environments
• Exposure to microservices and event-driven architectures
• Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Experience with database platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SAS data environments)

This role ensures secure adoption of cloud technologies by embedding security into architecture, operations, and delivery pipelines while driving continuous improvement of the organization's cloud security posture.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent technology-related degree
• At least one certification in Cloud Security: preferably Azure Cloud security
• At least one professional Information Security Qualification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSK
• Certifications in the use and administration of cloud security tools such as CSPM, CNAPP, EDRs, NSGs, DDIS, WAF, DevOps security etc.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and Terraform is highly valued for managing secure cloud environments

• Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on Public Cloud Security experience
