The debt that costs you is not the big one. It is the R40 from five weeks ago, from someone who stopped walking past.

Every Monday morning TuckBot sends you one message: the debts nothing has moved on in two weeks. No new credit, no payment, just sitting there. Biggest first.

It comes to you, never to them. TuckBot does not message your customers. That name is in your book because you wrote it there, and chasing someone is your call, not a robot's.

Then you decide: leave it, or go and have the conversation yourself.

What is the oldest debt still open in your book?

Not every shop has the same month.

Some weeks the till is full. Some weeks it is bread money and school shoes, and the last thing you need is another monthly debit order sitting there waiting.

So it does not have to be monthly. There is a 3 month option: R399, paid in cash at the till, one voucher, one trip. That is the shop sorted until December, and it works out at R133 a month.

No card anywhere in it. Shoprite, Checkers, Boxer, Pick n Pay, Spar, Usave or Game, whichever one you already walk past.

Which of those is closest to your shop?

Hands full behind the counter. Queue at the door. And you still have to remember what you just sold.

Hold the mic button and say it out loud: "I sold two loaves and a milk."

TuckBot writes back what it heard, records the sale, and leaves an Undo button under it in case it heard you wrong.

Say it in isiZulu or Afrikaans, switch mid-sentence, it still lands. It answers you in English.

Nothing to learn, no app, no menu. What would you rather do at 5pm on a Friday, type or talk?

The phone is the shop's book now. So what happens the day the phone goes?

Stolen at the taxi rank. Dropped in water. Or the number just stops working and you buy a new SIM.

Get the new number on WhatsApp and type "recover account" with your old number. TuckBot asks two things only the owner would know: your shop name, and roughly how many products you track. Answer both, wait 48 hours, and the whole book opens on the new phone. Stock, credit, all of it.

Nobody can rush it. Two questions, a 48-hour wait, three tries a week against any one shop, and the old number gets told the moment it happens.

It stays open even if your plan has lapsed. Locking an owner out of their own book is not something we are willing to do.

Has a phone ever disappeared on your shop? What happened to the book?

Ask an owner how the day is going and you get a feeling, not a number. "Busy." "Quiet." Then you count up at closing and find out you were wrong.

Type "target R900" once on WhatsApp.

From then on, every sale you record comes back with one extra line: how much of today's target you have hit, and what is still to go.

Whoever is standing behind the counter sees that line too, so the shop is working towards a number all day instead of hearing about it at 8pm.

What counts as a good day in your shop?

Most software asks for a card before it asks anything else. Most spaza owners we talk to run on cash.

So we built the cash way in properly. Type "pay", choose the cash option, and you get a reference number. Take it to any Shoprite, Checkers, Boxer, Pick n Pay, Spar, Usave or Game till, the same one you already queue at on stock day.

Monthly, 3 months and yearly all have a cash option. TuckBot Pro is R149 a month, and R75 for your first month if you have never paid us before.

Before any of that, 14 days to try it properly. No card asked for.

A lot of shop owners don't carry a card. Plenty who do don't want a debit order running against the account every month.

So we never made card the only way to pay us.

Type "pay" in the chat and you choose. Card or EFT if that suits you. Or a cash voucher: you get a reference number, you pay at the till at Shoprite, Checkers, Boxer, PnP or Spar, and your shop is upgraded.

And cash is on every plan, not just the cheapest one. R149 a month (first month R75 if you've never paid us), R399 for 3 months, R1490 for the year.

Which is easier for you, cash at the till or a card?

"I don't have time to learn a system."

Fair. So don't learn one.

Type it the way you'd say it:

"sold 2 cokes and a bread"
"put in 30 sugar"
"Sipho owes me 50"

It reads isiZulu, isiXhosa, Sesotho and Afrikaans too, and the mix most of us actually speak: "faka ibhrede 20", "verkoop 3 melk". The replies come back in English, but you can write it however it comes out.

Spelling mistakes are fine. And if it isn't sure what you mean, it asks instead of guessing.

What would you type first?

07/08/2026

The stock that leaves without a sale 📦

The two loaves for lunch. The airtime you gave your cousin. The cooldrink for the guy who helped you offload.

None of it is theft, and none of it is a sale. But at month end the shelf is short and the numbers don't explain why.

Type "use bread 2" and it comes off your stock without pretending it was a sale. Your sales stay clean, and the count still matches the shelf.

What is the one thing that always walks out of your shop unsold?

31/07/2026

"I already paid you last week."

And now you are stuck. You know he paid something. You just cannot say how much, or when, or what the rest was for.

Type "balance" and every name comes back with the detail underneath: each amount, the date, what it was for, and what he has already paid off.

Nobody has to argue. You both look at the same list.

Where do you keep your credit records right now?
