Africa’s leadership conversation is entering a new phase.

For decades, leadership frameworks applied across the continent were largely imported from elsewhere. Yet Africa’s own philosophical traditions hold powerful insights into leadership, community, responsibility and collective progress.

The African Leadership Conference: The Time Is Now brings together scholars, executives and leadership practitioners to explore what leadership can look like when it is grounded in African consciousness and experience.

Taking place 14–15 April 2026 in Sandton, the conference explores themes such as:
• African perspectives on leadership and the Me–We–Us model
• Regenerative leadership and the possibility of a new African renaissance
• Applying indigenous philosophies such as Ubuntu, Sankofa, Ma’at and Ujamaa to modern leadership
• Collective decision-making approaches such as the Letsama process
• Storytelling as a leadership capability

This is a conversation about how leadership in Africa can be both locally rooted and globally relevant.
