The existence of AvidFan Hub was triggered by the realization that Premier Soccer League (PSL) clubs and other sporting codes in the country are struggling to attract large crowds to the stadiums. This has continued even when teams and individual players/athletes have become highly competitive and displayed exceptional skills in their sport. South Africa has developed infrastructure with modern aesthetic design stadiums and access to the facilities is now convenient. Many South African citizens pride themselves as being avid and loyal soccer fans who support their teams, however a majority of these avid fans end up not even making it to the stadiums because there is no direct influence beyond traditional advertising which incites consumers to buy event tickets
