Swift action leads to the capture of kidnappers demanding R500,000 ransom and a nine-year-old girl who was kidnapped for ransom on March 3, has been successfully rescued and reunited with her family.

Police in Gauteng successfully apprehended three kidnappers within 24 hours of a R500,000 ransom demand, rescuing the victim in a dramatic operation.

BANK FOLLOWING SUSPECTS INTERCEPTED – MIDRAND / TEMBISA

A multi-agency operation intercepted suspects linked to a bank-following robbery after intelligence placed them scouting in Midrand.

📍 RESPONSE:
Suspect vehicle (white Toyota Urban Cruiser – false plates) was spotted near Woodmead Drive. A high-speed chase followed after suspects fled and opened fire on members. Members returned fire, ending the pursuit in Tembisa.

⚠️ OUTCOME:

🔴 1 suspect fatally wounded
🔴 1 suspect injured (under guard)
🔴 1 suspect fled (search ongoing)
