Divorce isn’t the end of your story — it’s often the beginning of knowing yourself more clearly than ever before.

For many of my executive clients, the instinct after a divorce is to throw themselves into work, avoid vulnerability, or rush into something new to prove they’ve “moved on.” None of these serve you.

Here’s what matters more:

Give yourself permission to heal on your own timeline. There’s no deadline. Readiness looks different for everyone.

Know what you want — not what you’re avoiding. A divorce can clarify your non-negotiables. Use that insight instead of dating from fear or loneliness.

You are not your past relationship. The right person isn’t comparing you to who you were married to — they’re getting to know who you are now.

Dating with intention beats dating with urgency. Especially at an executive level, where time is limited and trust matters, quality of connection outweighs speed.

Divorce doesn’t disqualify you from love — it often prepares you for a far better version of it.
